About Us

Dark and Dirty is a new company set up to explore exciting ways of making narrative art. We are interested in creating contemporary text-based physical theatre and narrative art with the aim of uncovering the dark and dirty, and blackly humorous stories, therein.  We are an integrated collective of professional writers, actors and artists. As a company we include two core members: Michael Stewart (writer and artist) and Everal Walsh (actor), as well as the actors Nick Stanley and Alison George.

We believe passionately that the genuinely transfiguring moments where the physical and cerebral fuse are the essence of a vital theatre and vital art which we need to implement to engage new and existing audiences. We also believe that when this happens art can change people's lives.
